38 ZX actual weight?

Anyone know the actual weight of a 38ZX, with a trailer (alum or steel)? I know the spec is 11,500 dry + trailer but wondering who's put one on a scale to see actual.
And the Daytona model is supposedly 500-1000 lbs lighter. Anyone know for sure by actual weight?
Trying to plan a legal tow vehicle and seems like 15k rating is needed. A 13,500 rating might barely eek out with a Daytona on alum trailer if about empty.

You are going to need at least a dually. That is the only truck I use.

I have a 33ZX and dry weight is 9500lbs, I put the boat and trailer on scale and its more like 12,500 with 1/2 gas. I would go with a 15,000 GVR and you definetly need a diesel dully 350 or better to pull that rig.

Yup dually is the way, but to get 15k rating need a 2005 or newer Ford or Dodge. Older ones go down in rating fast.

Good info on the 33 as a ref point. Add 2500 for trailer plus gas and your there, makes sense. Thanks for info.

My 38daytona on a steel myco was HEAVY. I would say it was pushing the 15k mark loaded and full of fuel. Definitely need a dually. Great boat though!! Miss mine everyday!
