New to the Donzi world
I just picked up this 1999 38' ZX. I cant wait for the Ice to melt so I can try this thing out. A lot bigger then the 27' Fountain I had before.

Gotta have good mufflers to boat on the Croix. Knock on wood I have not got to talk to them about that yet. But talked with another guy with a 38zx last summer and he had been hassled. He put turn down pipes on his. May do the same with mine this year as well.

I had the turn down pipes on my 27' Fountain with 700hp engine. They left me alone. The Donzi has mufflers on it so I will have to see. I have only run it out of the water so I don't know how bad it will be. I am sure I will build some down turns for it.

Nice boat! congrats.:drink:

That's a nice one! How did you find it? I've been watching the market for over a year and never saw this one come up. Those SC's should treat you well, and the boat should run just under 80. Trailer looks newer than the boat. Cool graphics too.

Thanks for the tip -I figured Craigslist. If you PM me your email I'll send you a nice article. 78-80 seems to be the going number stock. 525sc's should see about 5 psi stock and the smaller pulleys do 7-8 from the numerous articles I've read. Search here for 525sc and read on. Careful though some say while smaller pulley is more HP, it builds alot of heat too. I'm going after another with 525sc's and have done alot of reasearch on them. The 38zx was my first choice just cannot spend the coin.
