35ZR props

I have a 35ZR with 525s it came with 32p 4 blade bravos
at 92 MPH it is turning 5500 rmp and the limiter alarm is sounding, what props are any one else running with this setup? got some 34p 4 blade loaners comming to try.

What props are you running now? What are you getting on GPS? I have the same boat, motors and props. I dont get 5500 rpm. Thinking of going to other labbed props but dont feel like experimenting.

Thanks, Mike

Still running the same props, see that the first post was in May, cool low humidity, now in the summer can only get it to turn 5200-5300 rpm get to 88 pretty quick need a little time to cook to get to 90. would like to try some bigger wheels this fall to what she will do, maybe get the 32s labbed this winter. How do you like your boat? had it long?

I have a pair of Herrings I ran on a 38ZR just for a month before I sold it. I still have the props and willing to let them go very cheap.

I'm looking for an answer also - My 35ZR with 525's is running 89.6 on the GPS at 5,500 & the Rev-Limiters make a nuisance of themselves with standard 4-blad 32's. I tried some 34's and they lugged the 525's down to 4,700 RPMs & 83.6 MPH.

I would welcome any experience rather than going through an experiment that has already been performed.

From what I have seen, you are not going to see much more than 91 or 92 mph.
Four years ago, Typhoon Service Center ran a 35Zr w/525's for most of the summer. The best they saw was 92 on cool days in salt water. When they ran 1000 Islands (fresh water and elevation) they lost 5-6 mph.
I am not 100% by any means but I seem to remember that 4 blade 32's were the way to go and the boat did not like 5 blades. The staggared 38's like the 5 blades a lot.
Talk to Frank Civitano (Shanghied Again), he has a lot of time in the 35.

Seems the 32 4blade props are the way to go, after having the boat for a year found that once it got hot out I would only get about 88mph , could have the props labbed but that would hurt my midrange where I spend most my time running.
