Best props for 38ZR with 525s

If you see my thread below, my left prop is gone. It was a maximus prop.

Now I need either a replacement or a new pair.

Anyone got some advice here?

If you are only replacing the one you lost, you have to get the same prop so they match. (dont want to mismatch pitch, rake, blades, etc). I just had to replace both of mine (bottom strike), and replaced them with the same 5 blade 34 labbed Maximus. Looking back, i wish i would have tried a pair of 33p Maximus and not had them labbed before i spent the extra $$ on thelabbed 34p. Non labbed props are a little stronger, less $, but you generally have to drop a little pitch for the same results. Call Brad or Brett at BBlades, dont know if they have 33p in demo or if they will let you demo them in Australia, but Brad treated me well. I havent had a chance to really run them yet, but they should be the same as you have.

bugger! I ended up buying the matching prop from the US, but it has arrived and is different.
There is a long prop and a short prop. The prop on the boat appears to be a short prop, no skirt, labbed etc.
The prop that has turned up is a long prop, has a flared skirt and noticably more meat on each of the blades.
Is it normal to get the long prop and have to cut it and increase the labbing?

YES THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL.SOUNDS LIKE U PURCHASED A BOX STOCK PROP.U NEED TO SEND BOTH PROPS TO A PROP SHOP AND HAVE THE NEW PROP LABBED TO MATCH YOUR GOOD ONE(SAYIN YOUR GOOD ONE WORKED WELL ON THE BOAT).

I have one 32 pitch lab finish Maximus 5 blade that came off my previous Donzi which had 525's. Which rotation do you need?, If they match up I'll make you a good deal. I can send pics later to make sure they match up if you are interested.

Call Bob Teague. He set me up with the perfect Maximus pitch for my 38ZR w/525's.

ours is 34 pitch x 15.25
I've noticed in lots of photos that the engine staggering is around the other way on the Donzis.
Ours has the port engine further forward than the starboard..
