1989 Donzi Z25
I'm looking at a 89 Z25 for $8000 with a rebuilt motor and outdrive. However I found it interesting that there was no head on the boat at all. Did these boats have a portapotty or spot to put one? The fiance isn't going to let it fly without that. Also are there any other common issues I should be watching out for?

If it has a trailer grab it for 8k!Post some pictures if you can!

There should be a porti-potty on board. I had one for several years that I used in the waters off of Boston and the Cape. That boat rides incredible for the size.
|
It has a trailer and I got it for 7700. Was hoping for a little less because it cost me a grand to get it shouted home but I'm still happy with it. I'll get pictures once its here.

You will love it. Good luck with it!

I have an 87 Z25 and I love the boat. She might not be the fastest boat on the water but she is a head turner.

I got the boat last Thursday and will admit that as the shipper pulled in my driveway I was thinking something along the lines of "what have I done". The hull was very oxidized and very faded. After taking a look around though I came to realize it did indeed have a rebuilt motor, drive, new stringers, new fuel tank, and new interior (outside interior, not down below). So I came up with a plan to have it ready by labor day and my friend and I spent the night Friday (went to bed at 6am sat morning) putting a full black vinyl wrap from the rub rail down to the water line. Left the bottom red and the top white because they weren't faded. Anyways I love the color combo and couldn't be happier. Thankfully my friend is really good at doing wraps so total the cost was $250 for vinyl and beer. I have a few limited pictures from this weekend but we had it out everyday since Friday and couldn't be happier. Of course we've had a few hiccups along the way like the bilge pump switch is out so after being on the water for 3 days and it raining a little one of them I had to jump the wires to get a little water out, but its better than could be expected from a 20 year old used boat. I'll get more pictures soon.

Good looking boat.

Ask Gellis11 to send you some pics of his boat. His is the same color red as yours with an updated interior and fiberglassed speakers boxes throughout. He has a awesome looking 25 and you would think it was 2011 instead of a 87.

Boat looks great! Welcome to the Donzi family!

Right on!! Love the Z-25's since they were new in the 80s.
How is the hull/stringers on this one? I saw that you said someone had replaced them...? Does this boat have a problem with the hull wood in general? |

89 z25
Anyone know what the "seat switch" does? Also, the post just in front of the windshield, what is this for?
|
The seat switch activates a servo under the capitan's seat moving it forward or aft. The post ?? in front of the windshield is where you put your anchor light.
