is this event open to all boats? i am new to power boating and have never been on lake cumberland and would like to check it out

FISHIN SUCKS 04-26-2012 11:01 AM

We have had other other makes of boats register and join our event and participate in our fun runs/raft offs from Formula, Powerquest, Powerplay, Apache (that one was uncomfortable), Sutphens, Eliminator, Skater, Fountain, and a few others that I cant think of off hand. One year we featured Don Aronow himself and all the makes he was affiliated with/started which included the following: Donzi, Cigarette, Formula, Squadron, Magnum Marine, and USA 1. Feel free to register online and participate if you wish! Maybe we'll see you there,

Tom

I wish I could make it but I got too much going on this year.

I will put it on the calender for next year!
Maybe race boats and competition series could be next years featured boats...:bunnydance:

I have seen you guys running in the years past, it looks like you have quite the collection of nice boats

I generally have all of the kids that weekend and they really like to see all of the "little" boats ripping around
we try to find a good spot to watch you guys go past a couple of times

I hope you have a good year without too many logs

Scott B 04-27-2012 03:34 PM

ltl, bring it man, cool boat would love to see a Nordic running with us!

PB, swing by Jamestown with the kids, the owners are friendly, the atmosphere is fun, and we love showing off the little boats. Sat AM a good time to swing in, or Friday evening.

Heard the lake is looking pretty good, hope it stays that way!

Tom, SHOTGUN! I got first dibs.... :)

FISHIN SUCKS 04-27-2012 06:22 PM

word around the campfire is that somebody watered a 22' Blackhawk and it grew into a 28' Nordic........any truth to that Averitt? I mean ltl?

Scott B 04-27-2012 08:31 PM

LOL, I missed the locale there.. I may have to wait for Chattanooga to see the Nordic :-)

partyboat 04-27-2012 10:21 PM

the kids would love that, I just may take you guys up on that

ZRC for AOTH XIII theme boat...

You guys commit to joining us, and I don't think anyone would object to the ZR Competiton as our theme boat. They have been instant classics since day one! We might ask you to run out front though...

Scott B 04-28-2012 12:05 PM

I've still got SHOTGUN!

If Comps are the theme next year count me in with 001.

I will commit to next year too!
I think we could dig up a few more Comps to come as well!

Heck, I will run in the back if you want! It is not about speed, money or who has the biggest...... boat. :)
I had many great years and poker runs in my 22' Classic years ago, I loved that boat! That was the first go-fast boat I owned (7 years) and literally ran the heck out of it. I decided to sell it when the stringer split off the hull and the fuel tank ruptured!

These are from 1998ish before I did a full cosmetic restoration on it in 1999.

Saturday morning is a good time to see the boats at the JRM dock. We do kind of a show and shine where people fill out ballots for the People's Choice Awards given out that night. Come on over and take a look around.

If you bring your camera with you and ask nicely I am sure Todd might even let you put all the kids in his boat and take some pictures....

Classic, Shea!!!!! Now that is funny!

Note; Formula boats from Canada are not allowed. It's kinda a rule

partyboat 05-03-2012 01:22 PM

It would be good to get some pictures with the boats but doubt all 8 (including the wife's sister's kids) of them will be able to fit in some of those small boats , they barely fit in the pontoon, and i can tell you once they start running around on the dock you won't want them on your boats!

there aren't actually people who come all the way from Canada for this are there? seems like a long way.

what if they have dudes from texas in them?

and partyboat
generally in the past the canadian boats are the ones at the front with the canadian flags flying

Scott B 05-04-2012 05:21 AM

LMAO,yeah we allow the Canucks to come down and play with us. Have visitors from both coasts up there actually. People come from Ca, Fla and New Hampshire even. Great event, great time.

As far as photo op's on the dock, carry a few plastic duck toys with ya and Todd will
warm up. He has a soft spot for the lil buggers....

That's a given. He will even let one sit at the helm and jerk the controls around and they can eat their Cheetos too.

To claify things Partyboat, The Canadian boats think they are out front. They also operate in Kilometers, not MPH's. So when they tell you they are doing 100.......they're actually going like 63. It's a dillusional thing. Maybe we should put up a wall at the Canadian border instead of the Mexican border, hahaha!!!

Especially in my bilge. Note to self, time to find 250 plastic duckies in a large hefty bag stored away somewhere, God knows where, for a little re-gifting ceremony at AOTH XII.

Seriously Partyboat, this is truly a national, or I guess international event if you count Shea, and the people all know each other well, so watch your back if you come over to meet us!

Scott B 05-04-2012 08:00 PM

We can number them and have duckie races over the falls....

partyboat 05-09-2012 04:04 PM

well we did one better than the gas dock at jamestown

I was able to sweet talk the staff at the lunch place to save us a spot with you on friday so we will all just meet you guys there for lunch

hopefully we get a chance to put some faces to the names
