Value of a 1999 28ZX
 

Looking at a nice 1999 28ZX, but I'm not sure what it' worth.

1999 28ZX in very nice condition, doesn't look like it needs anything except for a good cleaning. Been stored indoors for the last few years.
-400 hours
-fresh water only
-Latham external steering
-Captains call exhaust
-Power bolster seats
-twin 350 Mags with Bravo 1 drives and 3 blade stainless props
-Dual axle aluminum bunk trailer
-purple/gold/white color scheme, not my favorite.
-Full cover and cockpit cover

I'm thinking mid 30's for this boat? Selling is asking 40's.

Hmmm... I can't tell you much about that specific boat or what it should go for, but I can tell you what I bought just 2 years ago:

2000 28ZX Scorpion Edition in amazing condition (didn't even need a cleaning)
- 325 hours
- fresh water only
- lantham external steering
* no cap exhaust
* no power seats
- twin 377 Scorpion Merc Blue-top racing engines, bravo 1, 3 blade mirage props
- 3-axel bunk trailer, painted to match boat, with donzi lettering
- white, red, black color
- full 2-piece cover, cockpit only, or cockpit snapped to rest of boat (all the way to bow) cover...

I paid $44k

Having said all of that, I'd say your seller is a little high... Mid to low 30's sounds about right to me. I assume you've looked elsewhere online?
