38 zx Prop Slip

Looking to see what other owners are seeing for prop slip with a 38 zx. RPM/Gear Ratio/GPS Speed/Prop Pitch?

I see around 13 or 14 percent

2000 38 ZX
525SC's
28 inch labbed B1's
best of 80 mph at 5200 rpm when new
w/same non labbed 77 mph at 5200 rpm (16% slip)

do you have standoff boxes?

What drive trim is optimum for you?

I am seeing a lot higher slip than that.

no boxes its a standard ZX. not sure where its trimmed I run the boat by feel but they are out a bit. I usually bring the boat up on plane with them level, and as the boat comes up in speed I will trim them out and find a sweet spot.

whats your setup?

loaded 2001 daytona with 225hr 575sci's. Stellings boxes. Had Bravo shop upgrade the XR's.
I do the same thing when coming up on plane. around 5 on drive trim seems to be the best. lower decreases speed and rpm. higher increases rpm but no speed change. Leave the tabs up to level which is around 1.
Props are lab B1 32p.

Have you measured your drive tow? If so what is it?
