Thanks that's good advice. We actually tried walking the boat down the end of the dock so that the wind would push the stern thus turning the bow out towards open water, I think what happen was I didn't get the boat turned enough, after the bow cleared the dock the wind pushed the bow back to Parellel with the docks but now I was in between two finger docks. At that point I hit reverse and backed out but it was close because the wind was blowing at a diagonal and the bow almost hit the docks on the opposit site. Had to goose her to clear it.

Would this work? Turn wheel to Port, back out with spring line mid cleat tied of on dock near the bow?

It takes a bit to get used to having the props spinning in but once I get it u will be fine. I sometimes play with the throttles and the shifters when its windy to get it to do what I want. That works for me.

I guess what I'm trying to say is back out but instead of the chance the wind pushes you elsewhere until clear of the docks use a line to keep the boat from moving backwards and let the stern move away from the docks until its out far enough to clear everything.
