John,

The boat is yours now; make it your own! Let me know if you're ever down this way and need a driver or throttleman! Enjoy!

I will ha ha what props were on the boat before 30 herrings because these 28 hit the limiter hard.

Sounds like you are running good. I ran side by side, dead even, with a 38 ZR at 85 mph. He did have a few extra passengers than me though. You have a great boat with reliable engines that like 87 octane. I would want the ZR with cabin though! Congratulations. I'm jealous!

I don't remember offhand. Let me check and get back to you. What I can tell you is the boat ran 95.2 with the sandbag out of the nose and the props I used - 94's all the time.

Sandbag in the nose? Did it fly better with some extra weight in the bow?

I am curios also. I have not looked up there but I will tonight.

Sometimes you need a little person to get into those tiny areas . :drink:

Are you referring to anyone in particular? :D

I find I can run almost the same speed with a full load of fuel and 4/5 people as I can with just 2 people and light fuel.

It's funny you talk about the sandbags because I have all my supplies (anchor, lines, extra vests, tool boxes, etc) in bungee secured Rubbermaid bins mounted in the bay forward of the deck hatches. Boat flies level and runs with almost no trim.

If I were seriously going to race the boat, I would put a small ballast tank up front that you could fill as you ran off the fuel levels.

The sand bag was in the very front compartment and yes, the boat flew a bit more level, however, it was a mph or so slower.
