Cables going to a seacock? Located on the bulkhead of a 35ft ZR.

Those are for closing the vents in the top of the knoch
should a hose start leaking

Are you saying that the the notch at the transom are also vented?

The notch on my 27 is vented with a hose and simple in line valve to close it off. I think it helps air escape so as not to push the stern up/bow down? The owner's manual says leave it open.

I have noticed all zr's have the valves but most don't have the lever/cables mounted.
