Let's keep this thread about later Special Edition Donzi 22's going. Ten years ago the 2007 Shelby Editions brought about $55k-$60k and now they're in the same price bracket. Currently one is up on BAT with 20 hours left to go and now bid to $60k. For owners of the Shelby ones and later #009 I look for some personal experiences. Have no personal knowledge of the build quality of these later classic Donzi models, but have a friend who's hot to get a 22, so any feedback is appreciated.

Brought $121,500! Very low hours on a very clean 496 HO boat, but that's a lot of coin for a 15-year-old boat with modest power. Gotta steer my friend in another direction. That this specific boat sold for low $50s 7 years ago, have me totally confused now. I know dealers are asking in the $180k range for a new one, so I guess it's all relative.

Beautiful looking boat at that price, it’s for a well healed collector. If I was buying a 10-15 year old boat for about 120K, I reckon I’d find something bigger and newer. I don’t have enough money for ‘collecting’ boats, I need something to use regularly.

Bash me if you like, just my opinion and I’m a practical tight a$$. 🙂
