Looking for 35ZR 525 boat

Have a buyer interested in my 32' and I'm looking for a 35ZR w/525's anyone know of any coming on the market soon? The only one I have seen that fits what I'm looking for is the Blue one in Kimball, MI. The Yellow boat that is on powerboatlistings.com from early 2017 is sold.

Why 35 and not a 38zr w/525's? I get you'll lose some on the top end, but the 38 would give you staggered which has so many benefits of its own. I'm only a few years from making this move myself and we've pretty much decided the extra wait to move into a 38 from a 35, would be worth it, IMHO. Good luck with the search either way.

Just ease of towing docking and more importantly a 38' would require me to find new storage for summer an winter which is not a deal breaker but it would have to be the right boat plus jumping to a 38' get inot a little more $$$ than I really want.

I would not count out a 496HO 35 if you don't want to jump to a 38. The 009 35 below is a great package if you don't need a full cabin as it is lighter than most 35s and runs a few mph quicker. I saw this boat last week when i stopped by the marina and it is beautiful!

Thanks and I agree with you on the 496 after posting for a 525 boat I realized I really like the worry free aspect of the 496 and I would consider a 35/496 boat my concern with the 009 boat is the black interior and dark gray seats I am worried they would be hot during the summer, my current 32' Sunsation has dark blue carpet and it gets hot enough that I wear shoes sometimes to keep from burning my feet.

MullenTJ86 01-28-2018 05:13 PM

009 are sexy boats, grey interior w/black carpet would be incredibly hot in the sun. Buddy of mine has a temp gun, showed me the drastic difference between the white and red vinyl seats on my boat, I could only imagine what black/grey would feel like. Then again, you could always throw towels down over the seats and your problem is solved.

Nice 009 35' out in Havasu, on powerboatlistings.com.

Actually I think he was trying to do the right thing by saying give the thread starter first option at the ZR if he doesn't want it you would be interested. This hobby is a small community we all need to help each other out not jump on a deal someone else is trying to work.

302Sport 01-30-2018 06:31 PM

Working on getting in touch with the owner, let you know when I hear back.

No never heard anything I sent 302sport three PM's following up so I assume the guy didn't want to sale the boat. The only other ZR I can find is the yellow/orange 496 boat in TX and I have no interest it that one. Not sure if you saw the Blue 525 boat that was at American Custom Marine in Michigan I looked at it twice and would have made an offer but the buyer I had lined up for my Sunsation bailed on me and I don't want two boats. The blue one was nice it needed top ends refreshed but it ended up selling for $101,500.00 which i think was a steal. Looks like your in Ontario, have you seen the on powerboatlistings.com? Its not far from you I talked to the guy and it seems like a nice boat but he's at $119k and said he might move $5k but it had 400+ hours and needed top ends as well and was the same year as the blue boat that sold at $101K. Unless my Sunsation sales in the next few weeks I'll run it another year and try to sale over the winter.

StewLow 03-31-2018 07:55 PM

I looked at the blue boat about a year ago.
Didnt like the colour etc and when the broker couldn’t/wouldn’t answer any questions about the boat my wife and I bailed and went for a nice lunch on the river.
The boat in Cornwall is about 4 hours away.
Havent seen it yet. You and I are on the exact same page. I like the idea that it’s a fresh water boat boat but top ends are approximately $10K Canadian I would pay a premium for fresh water boat but like you in no particular hurry. I put a bunch of money in my 28ZXO and am ready to enjoy it soooon.
Im in the Kawartha Lakes region north wast of Toronto. We live on a lake on the Trent Severn Waterway.
Regards
Stew

Thanks I have seen both of those not looking for a 700's boat and that black one has been on several sites for sale it looks a little rough in some pictures and does not have a trailer. I found a nice 38/525 boat I am going to look at Thursday.

MullenTJ86 04-23-2018 09:40 PM

Is this the yellow Canadian one?

Nope not the yellow one.

bigredbaja 05-06-2018 05:43 PM

Thought I should bring some closure to this thread...after searching for a 35 or 38 ZR w/525 I found a few but didn't like the color scheme or there was some other issue so a little over a week ago I flew 1300 miles to look at a nice 2007 38 ZR. I had been warned in advance about the condition of the paint by the mechanic who services the boat but the owner assured me it was not that bad. The boat sits in the water behind the owners lake home for about 4 months every summer and the paint from the water line down was severely blistered and flaked away, since I had come that far I contacted a local fiberglass/paint repair shop that specialized in boats and he also happened to have previously seen the boat and after seeing the pictures I had taken estimated repairs at $10k with the owner not willing to negotiate further on the price my Donzi search came to an end. I decide to upgrade the boat we had been running for the last three years and have had great luck with so we purchased a newer (2008) 32 Sunsation SSR that is loaded with every option Sunsation had a the time. Its being delivered on Sunday!

Gunrunner72 05-10-2018 08:20 AM

Congrats on the new(er) Sunny. I'm in the same boat as you were....looked at a bunch of boats that have left me pretty disappointed, especially at the prices being asked. Really makes me wish I'd have kept my '02 and just sunk some go-faster money into it. So, all that being said, I'm still interested in finding a 35ZR w/525 power or similar.

90viper 05-12-2018 09:30 AM

Looking for 35 009. One in California. sold. NJ seems overpriced for condition and no trailer imo.

MullenTJ86 05-12-2018 01:49 PM

Good luck, only seen 2 of them hit the market in the past few years. IMO, Cali one looked to be in better shape w/trailer too and was less than NJ one, you may have missed the 'boat' on this one.

90viper 05-12-2018 05:05 PM

Yep Damn it!!! lol

Don163 05-23-2018 04:54 AM

Has anyone looked at the 35 in Louisiana with 525's? Looks like a nice boat.

its under contract already. been calling on it. priced right thats why it didnt last

Don163 05-23-2018 03:43 PM

Well Hell! Had a 35 ZR with 496's a few years ago and went to a 32 Sunsation and just sold it. Seen that boat and the price so I figured I would try and jump on it. Little bit of research I did on the boat Mark Boos did full rebuilds on the motors in December, so someone is getting a deal.

90viper 07-09-2018 06:23 PM

Still wanting a 35 009.
