Question for 43 zr owners

Just purchased a 43 2007 Donzi Zr with 700 Sci motors. I haven't put it in the water yet---just going through the various systems and a good clean-up. I can't get the fuel gauge to work. Are there 2 fuel gauges or is there a toggle switch which flips to read either tank. If so, where is the switch or what am I missing. Thanks..

Do they have twin tanks? I know mine's only a baby but the 27 has dual fillers (either side) to a single tank. I would expect if it's got twin tanks it would have two gauges.

Twin tanks---one port and one starboard. Only one gauge on dash but another that says fuel above cabin door in another gauge panel.

Okay, just a wild guess from someone who's never seen a 43.....
At least I'm bumping your thread until someone smarter chimes in. :)

Which one did you buy?
if you go in line you can download the owner’s manual the answer to your question should be there. I have a 28 ZXO and found manual and wiring diagrams.

Im guessing you draw from both tanks at the same time. That way the boat stays balanced. Issue is likely a ground. Check the connections at gauge and top of the tanks

My 38 has one gauge toggle under gauge. Switch Center position no reading right or left switch position to appropriate tank

MYSTERY SOLVED ! ! ! Both keys must be in the on position underneath the starboard rear seat, Next, both port and starboard ignition toggles must be placed in the up position. Lastly, Thanks to Viper 90, there is a toggle switch under the fuel gauge that flips from center to left or right which individually reads each of the fuel tanks.. I wonder if Donzi holds the patent on this routine. Thanks all.....

Donzi opted to go with race boat style of ignition using military switches instead of keyed switches. The keyed switches under rear seat provide a way to lock the ignition. Enjoy your new machine. I have owned many brands and Donzi’s are awesome. I regret selling my zrc

Problem solved, good news.
What's the second fuel gauge in the cluster above the cabin entry? Is it just a duplicate for passengers?
Slightly off topic but you mentioned the ignition keys under the starboard seat must be turned on, on my 27, when the key is turned on, the hour gauge (which is also under the seat) starts running even though the ignition toggle on the dash is off. Do others do the same? My hour gauge shows considerably higher than the engine scan, previous owner probably left the key on while at anchor, not a huge concern but a strange way to wire things I'd have thought.......

Hello abroad. Someone attached the hour meter to hot side of switch when should be connected to a purple ignition wire. Easy fix
