Is it worth it???
 

Have a chance to pick this up for 2300 tomorrow and asking to see if it's worth it. Said he rebuilt the carb last year and was going to drain the tank but is running it out of a can. Worried about rot under where the porta poti is, says it's a little pinky, is that something that can be fixed, said it didn't go up the sides, just the floor? Also has a merc outdrive. Thanks.
Update.. are these not good boats, cant really find any info except the basics. Also, why does this have a merc drive when it should be OMC, right, for the year???

Usually there is always more rot than what is found before tearing into it!
but it an 89 so it can't be new either
worth it in terms of making money, no
worth it being once you go thru it you know what you have and fixed properly, yes
even more if you don't pay someone to do it!
