Prop help on a 22 Classic??
 

A friend of mine has a 96 Donzi 22 Classic. Power is a carbed 7.4LX/330hp. Im trying to help him dial it in a little better than it is now. Current prop is a Mirage(not plus) 25p. Im not sure of the WOT rpm yet but it runs about 67 on speedo. I'll GPS it soon. Id like to try a Bravo1 4blade 26p for starters.

What prop are you using on your 22?

CheckmateF1 ,,,,, I've got a 98 22 Classic, 454 Mag MPI Bravo 1 1:50 Gears ....... I was also running a Mirage Plus (25) Turning about 4800 R's WOT and indicating 72 Mph ....... I talked with some guy's with silimar setup's that switched to the Turbo 25 and said overall speed and handling improved ....... So I bought one and really like it now ....... It lift's the boat out of the water a little better and run's with a tad more bow rise .......... I'm now turning 4950 R's at WOT with full trim and indicating 77 Mph ........ I don't know if this will help your setup, but might be worth a try ...... I wasn't locked into buying the prop either ,,,,,, Just put her back in the box and send it back undamaged if you don't like it ........ The guy's over at www.donzi.net know alot more about this stuff than I do ,,,,, You might check them out as well ....... Best of Luck, Bruce.
