Dan is going back Thursday to meet with Grant - I'll have more pics soon. Dan did just confirm the motors will be mounted to a set of Shaun Torrente's 5.5" setback brackets. This is going to be such a great rig!

How do they decide how much rise is built into the STR brackets?

I'm certain Grant will let Shaun know how much he wants. That's part of what makes Shaun's brackets so great, you can custom order them for each individual application.

And even if the first one isn't right you can just swap new sides in to change it I believe.

Yes, the brackets are modular, so you can just swap out the side plates to change setback and/or rise. Which also means you never have to break the seal of the plate that mounts against the transom for setback/rise changes. There's no other setback bracket that compares imo.

Great pics Noli! Everyone will have to wait though for performance #s until the boat gets out here to California. The motors are still in break-in mode with the little bit of run time that was put on them back in Florida. I can tell you that Dan is SUPER happy with the way the boat performs. We will update this thread once the motors are out of break-in mode and we have data from a couple sets of props - one set being the 5 blade Herrings you see on it in the pictures, the others being the Dewald 4 blades that came off my 28 Skater. This boat is sure to be a runner!
