32 Doug Wright Weight

Anyone know what a 32 tips the scale at with 300's?

4500#ish

I bet lighter

The most recent (bare hull) weighed just over 2100. It was not a carbon boat so there is a couple hundred that could potentially be dropped.

Thanks guys. I was thinking less than 5k. I have not put mine on the scales.

What is the Stock Class minimum weight limit Ryan? The X-Cat minimum weight limit is 5,200#s on the hook at the end of the race, Stock Class is a lot less than that, isn't it?

Currently a newer 63" tunnel DW weight is 4300....minimum. Of course and older narrow tunnel boat, which I assume is what the OP here is asking about weighs much more, hence me saying 4500

Wow, that is super light! I had no idea the Stock Class boats were allowed to be that light. Is that 4,300#s at the cranes at the end of the race, with any residual fuel, but no drivers in it?

Yes, 4300# on the crane with no one in the boat as well as no helmets, no life jackets, no ballast.

I'm really surprised they've set the minimum weight that low. The inboard classes have much more realistic (safe) minimum weights. A 4,300# minimum weight for the Stock Class is encouraging the boat manufacturers to build them really light, which in turn is not as safe imo. What did your 32RT weigh complete/dry Daren? I thought I read somewhere at some point that it was 5,200#s? I'm doing everything I can to get my 30 to come in around 5,000-5,200#s complete/dry, but it's going to be tough because I'm starting with a boat that was built as an inboard boat that didn't have weight as the #1 concern.
