Volvo Drive Cutout

Is the cutout for a Volvo drive larger or smaller then a Mercruiser?

Depends on what Volvo drive.
If it's an SX ( omc cobra style) you just have to drill some more mounting holes and it goes right in. There is an adapter plate availiable for the Volvo only 6 sided looking transom cutout.
I repowered an '89 25 Bayliner and Bravo T/a Went right in.
