I believe you have this all mixed up........anyone else?

I thought:
XR's are straight cut, stronger, slower
XZ's are helical cut, weaker, faster

Thanks Guys. May pass on the boat. She doesn't seem to interested in coming down on the price and it needs a lot of work. The drive was one concern. Appreciate the input.

If its the one I think you are talking about, others have had had the same idea about the price. Too hig for the condition of the boat.

Also, the IMCO's use XR gears. I'f they were breaking them that easily, I would say its partly due to the driver.

I had an XZ in my 25' Daytona with 1.36 and labbed 30 behind a whippled 454mag with a bit of extra boost. Did right by me for 70 hrs, sold the boat and he was still good a couple years later. As said, there are many variables, but an XZ would not be a deal breaker for me.

Monster....

I've got the Pantera you should be looking at:drink:

Beautiful Boat Cat! I won't be spending that much $$, but if I was it might be a winner! :D
