Spots on satin Imcos

I have had my -2 shorties on for about a month. I have noticed several rounds spots showing up a dark circles at various place on the lower units. Is this a common occurence? What causes this?

Every satin one I have seen gets those, probably something from the casting process. I saw somewhere that they could be cleaned up with scotchbright pads. How is the boat running? Tested any more props or hit any new speeds lately?

Monte,
That is where they weld up the holes from the casting process.. A little bit different material, so it shows..

WD-40 and a green scotchbrite pad works really good for cleaning them up.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I will try the wd-40 and the scotchbrite pad. Since I don't trailer the boat, the only time I see them is on the lift.

Indy - just sent my P5Xs off to be labbed. I'll let you know what happens when they return. Hopefully, I won't lose anything.
