ITS drive compatability

If I install an ITS transom would I need to always run an XR upper or could a standard Bravo be fitted with the ITS input shaft as a spare?

And will any X upper fit the ITS transom? with input shaft change.

Thanks.

If you find you need the ITS input shaft only let me know. I just bought an ITS XR as a spare and will need to replace it with the regular input shaft. (I have a regular bravo spare I'll be selling once swapped too)

Any late model X, XZ, or XR will work if you install ITS input u-joint assy.. The ITS is 7" longer. There have been a couple different suppliers so don't mix'n max stub yoke, socket, etc.. I prefer the late model, the u-joints are smaller but the entire assy. is stronger.
