Default Bravo question

Is it possible to close the low water pick up on the Bravo 1. I have both low and middle pick up on the bravo, and get tired of sucking up mud sand through the low pick up.If so any suggestions on how to do it.
Thanks Steve

For what it's worth...I upgraded from a standard B1 to a B1X this spring. The X drive only has a mid water pickup, much to my surprise. The only difference it has made is that I no longer pick up all the crap at the bottom of the bay and overheat every other time out. If you can figure out how to do it, I would do it...it's been a pleasure this summer without having to worry about removing my water hoses and slamming then on the ground to break up the packed sand !!

All Bravo's now are either dual or side only. You can order either way. Except the sport lower, it is only low water pick-up. I would not close any of the holes. It will give you to much water restriction. Better off to change out the lower housing to a side water only.

If you have dwp.. lower and side pickup, you can close off the lower ports. I have been running a standard side water pick up with the top two holes closed up on each side for years..
The dwp, upper holes are the same as the standard b1 side water pickup..

Hope this helps..

What do you mean by the lower ports, I think he's asking how to or if it's OK to plug the LWP in a dual pickup setup.

You could alway add a nose cone to your lower and that would cover up the holes. you can also weld them shut and grind it smooth and repaint it.
