TRS Lower unit shortie

Does anyone have any information on a trs lower unit shortie?
How much shorter is it than the standard 280 trs drive etc etc etc?
Also, do you know where I could locate 2?
Thanks,

thats what im trying to figure out.... i'v heard rumors and have never been able to find them..

I don't think they exist. Even if they do, they couldn't be too much shorter because of prop clearance. I think the easiest way to raise the propshaft with a TRS is to remove them and install Konrads w/ shorties. It sure wouldn't be the cheapest way but I think the easiest.

yeah im with you...i've read alot of info on the konrads and ideally thats the way to go

I'm hoping you're not refering to an SSM II. It's a speedmaster type lower on a TRS upper. It's actually taller than the starndard TRS.
There was a thread in the tech section a couple years ago about someone modifying a TRS (I think) to a shorter drive.
