Need power steering lines on the rams
 

I have had 2 failures on my mayfair steering line on the steering rams.The rubber is failing inside the fitting ,the hose it fraying on the end and coming apart. I have the tool from Marine Machine to put themtogether etc, The rubber line are I guess getting old?

I want to get some made ofStainless braided line made up with the stainless fittings.

Were can I get these at a reasonable price ,any sugestions??

Check your local Hydraulic hose shops. They can hook you up or tell you where to go. We have a couple of places here that do it. Are those ends the kind you can disassemble with wrenches? If they are you should have no problem.

I was thinking if I got some they were crimp style they may hold up better?My local shop doesent have shet,there division on the coast doesent have it either.Remember im in Mississippi:D

I tried CP Perf they have them already made up ,shopping around now.

How many psi is hydralic steering.....Cant ya just aeroquip them

those look like reusable ends strip was the previous failure on the same fitting? Imco can hook ya up good luck. SC

Call Tommy @ WPM, they make all their braided lines and fittings 100% stainless and are very reasonable. I put WPM steering on one of my boats 7 years ago and it still looks like new and just replaced all the lines my 35 this year with his stuff, you wont find anything better IMO.

The first pic of the lines connected looks fine. The pic of them off the boat and the ends off, wow! How did you know they were bad? This concerns me because i have the same stearing system.

Liquidsation it blew out part way and started leaking till I lost steering,The inside one is the only one that blew of completely.

Bing at Marine Machine is saying that Hustler is not installing/building the hoses right the reason of the failures.Thats the reason I purchased their mandrel in the pick.
