Ok don't laugh...too much

I have a Baja Outlaw 20 and today while taking the boat out of the water i forgot to trim it up and the lower unit scraped bottom a little at the boat launch.... it did kinda lift the boat up a little and as soon as i felt it i got out and trimed it up and the boat droped back onto the trailer.

now what kind of damage could this have caused? a little paint is off the skeg and a couple minor scraped on it. it's all i can see.

thanks for the help
Andre...former Jet boat owner!!!

I would say if there is no other visible damage, keep boating and see what happens. I know the gimbals and rams were intended to take a great deal of stress during normal operation, so your probably ok. Have fun and wear your kill cord............also a former jet boater.

pretty sure you're ok. repaint your skeg and happy boating!

Look over the gimbal ring real good but you are probably fine.

you are the ONLY person EVER to have done that, you do realize this..

hahaha.. should be fine, just repaint and make sure you're still on the trailer correctly and when you get your service done have them check the drive alignment.. happy boating..

It happens more than you know. You didnt do any damage except for paint scratches.

Guy at the marina sees it atleast 3 times a day, he said on a busy day he sits there and watches people launch and load boats, said it's like watching americas funniest videos..

your fine.....now starting the boat and putting it in fwd or rvs with it all the way up in trailer trim is another story.
