wet sump has an oil bath, ie the gears sit in oil. Dry sump circulates the oil and pressurizes it to stream onto the gears and bearings, it uses a pump. Weisman invented it and mercury copied it. wet sump can be converted for about 10,000 each, gimbles are the same.

Because they're not turning gears inside 4 gallons of a 90w oil bath, the dry sumps run cooler and increase "propshaft" horsepower. You can check with Craig @ (ColabellaPerformance.com) for more info and pricing.

There is another thread on here from Weissman he developed it, and sold that part of the business to someone else, he said 10000 so 6200 is a good price. $10000 or $6000 is alot of engine horse power money, unless your full out racing he doesn't seem to think it's worth it.

The other systems are not drysump. Ours is the only one with an internal tank and a two stage pump system.

If you want it done right call Vern 310 995 1670.
