im new to powerboating,i just bought a 1991 240 sport this yr.i want to get the most out of it,it has a 454 estimated at about 400 horse i put a 1.50 bravo 1 on it would a 26 p 4 blade hydro be a good prop?I plan on turning it left hand, and would a standoff box be worthit for my boat.any advice would be greatly appriciated.trying to learn all i can to go as fast as i can afford.and be reliable

You will never be able to spin a 26 hydro. If its a Q4, then the boat won't like it. Baja's like bow lifting props.

With that HP, you need a 23" Mirage Plus prop. It will be the fastest on top end. A little slow to get on plane. It will spin 5000-5200rpms. It should run low 60's.

A Bravo one 4 blade will have better planing and better midrange speed, but will loose about 3-4mph on top end.

Why do you want to run a LH prop???? Almost all single engine boats run RH props and I have never heard of someone running a LH on a Baja.
BTW, I had a '93 24 Outlaw with about 420hp and it is almost the same as your hull.
