Crank Flywheel Transmission TRS? HELP!
Some where there was a thread that someone attached the blown up parts view of this assy. If I recall it looked like there was a some sort of shim, but also acted like a bearing. It appeared to ~ 0.040" thick but acted like a bearing. Please correct me if i'm wrong, but if I'm right where the heck did it come from.

There is no shim that I know of. Just the damper plate that mounts to the flywheel.

I did not think their was anything between the crank and flywheel either, but when I got my parts back from the machine shop it was in their. I chalked it up to something fell into my box from someone elses stuff. But I remember seeing an exploded parts view and I swear that was in it. I saved that to my favorites on my computer, but after a minor Internet Explorer crash "MY Favorites" are gone.
Maybe it was to shim the flywheel closer to the starter, or spline engagement. |

There is a small "bearing" more like a bushing that goes in the flywheel. It keeps the shaft from wobbling.

I just pulled the other engine today and I have the output bearing. And it was a thrust bearing that was in my box. Do those thrust bearings go in cars also?? it still could have been in their by mistake. I tore the flywheel off and did not find on of those thrust bearings. Would it be on my tranny? haven't looked their.
