center tab

this is my first boat with a center tab its a 28 eliminator daytona. my understanding is all i need to use it for is to help plainning off. and after that raise it i really wont need it. i run on an inland lake no more than 3 foot waves. does this sound right?

Yes, you can bump it down just a little at a very slow cruise speed if you get some porpoise. Once you start packing air just run it up and use the drives for trim.

I use my center tab for planning help and slow cruising.
calm waters I can plane down to under 25 :)
impossible without the tab :(
getting on plane is a breeze as well.
I have used it in rougher waters to gain flatter control of the boat.
test and retest is the best for live conditions.
best thing to remember, and this is for any tab use, just a touch of the button at a time!!!!! it takes time for your boat to gain the feel of tab movement, and on a cat packing in the air really can cause quick havoc if using too much tab to quickly
