looking for info on stern power out drives
 

found a sweet boat 1979 manguim 28ft but worred about the out drive, never heard of them stern power by marine drive systems??? parts?

heard of them back in the 70's; seems they were comparable to and bit stronger than the volvo drives on many of the boats of that era. seem to remember some of the stern powr w/speedmaster type lower units. it also seems that there was a place in Seattle (Doc Freemans?) that was a dealer/parts supplier for them. there should be a lot of the old-timers that remember them and know more about parts availalability , good luck - jeff

good drive will hold up to some decent power,parts,i lost touch with the factory but i think michigin,call vicious marine,i sold 2 drives to this guy 417 231 2638,easy to work on,too bad they faded away,but i could be wrong tripps
