nose cone install

has any installed a nose cone on bravo 1 with low water pick-up. where does the tube go if i have 4 holes in the drive, i would think if i stopped it before the drive, the water pressure would try to push the cone off--i was going to use the epoxy becuase there is no one local to weld alum.

I need this same question answered how do you install a cone on a LWP or DWP bravo lower ? block the factory holes with weld or epoxy and use the water passage and plumbing that comes with the cone ( a la Bobs Nose cones) or drill out and chamfer the nose cone to match the holes already in the front of the bullet ? HELP !!!!!

They should be albe to tell you. It depends on the manufacturer how you do this. Bobs has all the instructions. We always ran an external tube on the outboards.

I had the same question.

I did call and speak with the people at Bob's and they said it doesn't work well with the LWP. If it is a DWP it just blocks off the LWP up.

After checking around I think a new Imco housing is the way to go.

I had a friend do this on his drive.. he used the epoxy. Not sure how, but he drilled some holes in the cone and slid straws through them I think.. then reamed them out when he was done??
I know he ran it for few years like that and it worked well.

So it has been done, but it is easier to buy the Imco.
