Are these speedmaster 2's

These outdrives are on my 81 Fountain Executioner and Im sure they are original. The Boat was originally 454 twin turbo from the factory. All the other speedmaster 2's Ive seen don't have the same nose cones, mine seem to be longer ? The cone in front of the lower unit is completely round not like others Ive seen which mould more into the lower unit.

Thanks for all your info.

I think they are #2's , but if i where you i put some TRS on it.

The upper is the same and the lower ,,,,,,well ,i think with that X-dimension your boat will run better with standart TRS drives.

By the way i have a set for sale.

They are genuine early model Mercruiser SSM II.
The later model had the 'cresent leading edge' style nose cones.
Can't see from the pics, but are there scoops under the cav plate, you can see the 4 x holes for mounting them, these are for drive cooling, the exit holes are the 2 x 1" holes under the rear cover on the drive shaft housing.

I know the one in the background is an outboard! :p

I agree, The are early # 2.

The stern power lowers had studs and nuts showing on rear of torpedo. Never did see them on a TRS upper.

Thanks for the Info Guys, Emailed a few pics here and there & Yes it has been confirmed early style speedmaster 2's, it appears all the others Ive seen are late model speedmaster 2's.
Speedmaster No I have no scoops on the drives for cooling, I will see if there are any mounting holes. Thanks

The holes for the scoops are there, you can see them in the photo.
I had some scoops cast years ago, I don't know what became of the patterns.
They picked up enough water to cool a blown big block.
