Bravo I - ITS

Is the cutout in the transom and bolt pattern for an ITS the same as a Bravo 1-XR transom assy? Other than a longer input shaft and plumbing are there any other things to be aware of? Thanks

Last year I bought some ITS XR's for spares and swapped them over to regualr XR input shafts. The top caps were different in that the steering is in the ITS so the top cap just had one "hole" for a tie bar to the other drive. The existing Latham system you have should still work though.

I thought you already had ITS on your boat?

Nope on the ITS. Wondering what it would take, besides money, if I get bored ths winter:rolleyes:
I'm looking for info on swapping out the trasom assy. Cut-out in the transom, x-dim change etc????

Jeez, I guess there is no technical knowledge around here anymore. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS:rolleyes:

I have some input.

The ITS uses the same cutout, hole pattern, and inner plate as a Bravo. Depending on how conservative your current propshaft position is, you might want to go up 1-2". If you don't have shorty gearcases, you could just bolt on the ITS and use shorty's and go from there. Another thing to think about is your current steering. The ITS needs a hydraulic helm. Hope this points you in the right direction.
