Bravo i outdrive leaking gear lube
 

I have port Bravo one outdrive that seems to have a few drips of gear lube coming from off the plate. Boat is winterized and there was no discoloration in the lube upon winterization. What could this be?

By "plate" do you mean the cavitation plate?

yes, it looks to be coming from a bolt just above the cavitation plate

Have you checked the torque on the nuts that hold the lower to the upper?

You would be surprized, they do work loose. This could be where your leak is coming from.

By bolt just above the cavitation plate... do you mean one of the six horizontal bolts or the bolts that hold the lower to the upper?
