Boxes on a 40 OUTLAW

I am wanting to add a pair of extension boxes to my
40 OUTLAW but I am not finding much info on 40's with boxes. I have a pair of whipple charged 525 motors with XR outdrive and my prop shaft height is 4.5" (factory) from bottom of boat. I think I would like to use the Stellings boxes for the flexibility in prop shaft height and keep the stock lowers. Any ideas or suggestions to get me headed in the right direction would be great.

Not much here on the how to but maybe someone has a pair of Stellings extension boxes and or steering plates for Latham steering for sale.

I'm not an expert on boxes, but from I know, the purpose of the set-back is to raise the x dimension and get the props in cleaner water. I had 357 formula that I added imco boxes with 3" lift and stock bravos. I raised the x dimension 3" above the formula factory specs. Boat ran great, near 70 mph with 500's that is probably compared to 65 with 500's and stock height. Also, I was reading on the new "Fajas" and Fountained added hydraulic steering and raised the x dimensions and the boats are running faster and flatter (better overall ride from what I hear). If you can't raise your engines to use the imco boxes, I would think you are going to really want to look into 2"-3" shorties, but I think 2" shorty is all you can go with the stock xr's. Again, not an expert, but you really need to talke with folks. I would also try calling imco and/or stelling to see if they have re-fitted a 40 outlaw
