Looking for Bravo upper gear

Does anyone have, or know where I might find an upper gear for a Bravo, part #43-807436? I know Mercruiser does not sell the gear anymore and requires a complete gear set.

Thanks

what is wrong with the gear, they don't sell just the gear because they are a matched set, not the best thing to mix them up. I have a new set of 1.65:1 with all the shifting stuff, I could make you a killer deal on them.

Well, some jack ass (ummm...me) accidentally shifted into reverse with the engine RPM a little too high. Broke the floor out of the top drive gear.

The gear set is 27/32 tooth. Drive ratio is 2.0:1.

I'll look and see what I've got.

I have one. Actually the complete clutch/shaft/gear assembly from my B1 1.50, which uses the same upper gears as your B2 or B3.

I ordered the complete replacement kit to rebuild my drive. The 2 driven gears look fine, but the pinion gear looked questionable. Some say they would have ran them, I didn't feel the same though do to the pinion itself. The teeth all look good, other than stain spots do to a small amount of water on the contact side of the teeth. I don't see any pitting, just staining. But never looked real close either. The clutch part worked fine last yr when I removed it. I had a problem in my lower unit, which lead to the dissassembly of the drive. Was unaware there was any issue in the top end.

I don't want to split the assembly. Will let the gear/clutch assembly w/shaft go for $300. The pinion gear is no good. Not sure how well it'd work to mix gears from different drives, that'd be your call. If anything, install your remaining good gear as your forward gear and install the replacement as your reverse.
