Silver XR's?
 

How hard is it to find them and how much more are they compared to the Std. Black XR?

Are you talking about Imco drives?? They can be had in silver and the SC is an XR on the inside??

No Actual Merc. XR's that are Silver not Black

about $50.........in paint and alot of labor. :)

I've never heard of them being made anything but black but you can tear them down and paint them whatever color you want (I've considered leaving my std XR lowers silver just for looks but went ahead and painted them black)

That's what I thought......That would suck!!!

The Bravo XR with the sportmaster lower - the lower is silver, but not the whole drive....

Actually, Wild's entire powertrain is silver - motors, transom assys, extension boxes and drives.

I was thinking Sportmaster lowers also.. and they are pricey!!

Imron basecoat/clearcoat. Does not peel off at 80MPH. About 16 hours of labor including disassembling & re-assembling transom assembly.

XR DRIVES WITH THE LOWERS SILVER ARE JUST XR DRIVES WITH THE PAINT REMOVED TO GAIN 2 TO 5 MPH IN TOP SPEED FROM MY UNDERSTANDING.:cool-smiley-011::party-smiley-048:

If u gain 2-5 MPH by removing the paint ,,,,i will grab the sander right now and take the paint off the hole boat !!!!!:grinser010::evilb:

No kidding eh? Easiest 2mph ever! (dont think so either)

If you sanded the whole boat DD you would probably remove a couple hunderd pounds of paint/gel coat and primer. You probably would go 2 m.p.h. quicker LOL, but the boat would look like chit!!!!:lolhit:
