Drive Upgrade Advice......

I have a 454 supercharged in a 23' boat with a regular bravo I that failed on July 3rd on Lake Powell. My engine set up should be around 600 hp. 85 mph 5000 rpm 3650 ft elevation. I like to water ski and I like top speed. Any sugestions for a drive set up? I could rebuild for $2800 but would be towed a year later.

waterskiing is going to be hard on any drive when you have 600hp, especially if you like top speed as well. I am please so far with my Imco, running 800hp through it, but I dont get up on plane nearly fast enough to pull up a skier.

Konrad could handle the power, but pretty pricey. Good thread going on about them right now.

Could upgrade to the XR, although you will still put a hurtin on them with a holeshot.
