TRS to Bravo with boxes
I have an early 80's Scarab II (30') (twin 650 hp blown) and want to convert from TRS to Bravos with boxes without moving the motors. any pointers and what are the up and downsides: :party-smiley-004:

Get a new boat that's closer to what your wanting. I don't think it can be done without moving the motors. As old as that boat is it would cost a lot more than it's worth and I don't know of parts to do it with out moving the motors.

Stellings made a conversion kit which allows the motors to remain in original position by removing transmission and using a coupler, a drive shaft and a box

go to about post 17. They talk about an adapter plate. you would need to leave trannies in or fab something.

Stellings made a real nice box but I haven't seen one in years. You may want to call over there and talk to Randy to see if he still has some. He had some castings left over just a few years ago but Kathy wouldn't let him sell them, maybe she's changed her tune now and will part with a couple.
