Which Bravo 1 Gear Ratio
 

Found a good deal on a new Bravo 1 with a 2 year Mercruiser warranty. I can pickup either a 1:50/1 which is what is currently on the boat (or should I say laying on the garage floor) or a 1:65/1? Seems like I would get a little more top end speed out of the 1:65/1. If so how much do you think in a 1990 Mirage 232 Trovare? It seems like the boat does not pop up on plane all that quickly with current gear ratio. Even with tabs set.

Stick with the 1.5.. and play with props, you will be father ahead.. just my .02
