So for the lower swivel pin, can you hit it from the bottom up? I have some slop in mine I would like to fix.
Is this the part number I need? Swivel pin - 17-54052T 1 Is there a bearing that is around the pin? Anyone have that part number, or where to get it? thanks, jon |

Mine came out easier from the bottom up, but I think it's just luck, there is no step/taper or anything. Soak it with PB blaster.
There is a full-complement needle roller bearing pressed into the gimbal ring with an oil seal on either side of it. http://www.mercruiserparts.com/ Good luck with it. Randy |
Was going to ask a few other questions, but after waking up and going out back, I was able to pound it out.
Thought I could get to the needle bearing without pulling the gimbal ring, but I guess I now need to remove the top pin so I can get to that bearing. |
