Bravo indentification
I just purchased the 2002 cigarette mystique that was in the classifieds. When i winterized i noticed a twisted prop shaft and the it is a 1" shaft. The drives are labeled XR from sticker only on the drive with no serial numbers on the drives or transome assembleys. Did XR drives ever come with a 1" shaft. The only serial numbers i have are on the motor manuals. There is no serial numbers on the motor cover also. Maybe the covers were changed at one time. who knows. But i am wondering what drives really are on the boat. I may just have to wait til the tear down to see what it is.

You can take the top cap off and see if they are straight cut or helical cut gears. I have several buddies that bought XR uppers and bolted them to their regular bravo lowers.....Maybe the previous owner did the same thing before you bought the boat.

If the drive is off, look at the input shaft/yoke, a XR (all ratios) will have the letter "R" stamped on it, XZ will a "Z" for a 1.5:1 or a "T" for a 1.36:1, stock bravo as follows "C" for 1.65,"F" for 1.50 and "H" for 1.36
