Wondering if anyone has done this combo in a 29 fountain 2010 600 with ITS/SSM. Will it work well with the 29 steped hull.

I think he means sportmaster lower or a shorty sportmaster not a speedmaster. SSM is the abreviation for super speedmaster which is a #6.
