volvo dpx600 DRIVE wont shift !
 

hi fellows... having some issues with the volvo dpx 600 setup.

the boat was stored for a while. just started the motor, tried to engage it in gear , seems like the cable isnt operating the frwd or reverse...

anyone ever had a similar issue ? any ideas ?

Shift lever moves/engages but drive does not, or shifter doesnt move either? If shifter moves look for broken or disconnected cable. If shifter doesnt move, it could be the shift interupt switch is out of adjustment and preventing it from engaging. Try removing the back cover on the drive, disconnect the linkage, and see if you can shift the drive manually.
