#6 to bravo conversion boxes - do they exist???
 

Was wondering if anyone had ever built extension boxes that converted a number 6 cutout to a bravo or possibly vice versa?

Always figured that would be a relatively simple way to convert a big power boat down to something more user-friendly without redoing the transom. Say taking a boat that had 1200's and 6's and going with 700's and bravos while retaining the #6 cutouts. This way too it would be possible to go back to #6 if the next owner wanted to revert back to big power.

Could this be done?

I have never heard of a conversion. Also, you would not want 700's on bravo's if you could have 700 on #6's.

I agree - if the #6s are on the boat. What about a bare hull that needed to be rigged? Thoughts are get the boat up and running with 600-700s and bravos and IF I still have the boat down the road AND the budget allows upgrade to the #6s it deserves.

I think that the more likely scenario would be an older boat that had 3,4, or #5's on it. If the boat had 6's originally it most likely would be a big boat and destroy bravos or be a total turd performance wise. Case in point my boat that had 5's or something like that on it. I glassed up holes and putting XR's in it.

You might try trading someone your #6's for a set of NXT's. Find someone who is trying to go the other way.
