That sucks, Jeff. Upper or lower? Let me know how it goes as I got a buddy with a busted XZ that he wants to get repaired over the winter. This would be another option to The Bravo Shop at LOTO.
I've heard a lot of good things about the bravo shop at LOTO, but when I called and talked to them (i think the guys name was clint) I didn't get a real good impression. Seemed like I was bothering him, and didn't have time to talk to me. Maybe that's not the case, but that's the impression I got. |
George is a standup guy!!! I had brought my drives to him and he took the time to tear them down while I was there to show me things with great patience and we decided what upgrades to do. Got them back and had an issue with something that was completely understandable he took care of it in a heartbeat. I have since sold the boat and just saw it this past weekend, I can guarantee that the kid who bought it is beating on those drives like a red headed step child with no issues.
The drives on the Gun will be going to George to be gone through when its time. |

Id reach out to them again. Definitely not the norm around the shop. Clint and John are always very easy to deal with. Not sure what day it was or what was going on but Im sure John will work with you to get your issues resolved and make sure your happy.

My drives are at George's (AADS) getting upgraded as I type. I'm getting the phase 3 X Mod with Cryo treated gears and shaft upgrades. I talked to him several times on the phone and he has always been very detailed in expalining things and just a good guy to talk to. With any luck, the gears make it back from Cryo so I can drive out and pick them up Friday and I don't miss the hoilday weekend.

My drive is in transit to George as we speak, and so far I have to echo all the above posts on the customer service. I've been blown away by how helpful he has been, especially when everybody wants everything RIGHT NOW in the high season. I have no question I'll be getting a great product from him. I'll report back when we are back on the water :drink:

I found George at AADS through Google. His site is simple with no frills and cluttered ads. That's a good sign. Called him up the last Friday, of Labor Day weekend. He answered to my surprise. After chatting on the phone, which I must say was a pure pleasure, very courteous and helpful, I decided to make the 4.5 hr drive to his place. Here's a breakdown of what lead me to him. Last year I shelled my B3 outdrive, it was in bad shape. The local marina preferred to do a replacement unit with Jasper, I'm not too keen on the idea. So I give George a call. Now, fast forward to yesterday at noon. The wife and I head up to his place, he is waiting for me at his shop door. He unloads my unit and tears it down, explaining what hes going to look for. He showed me every step of each phase, told me about the testing he does, the difference between stock and his. Showed me every part in each stage and why they are better. George spent 4 hrs in his shop with me. Not once did he seem upset or rushed or say anything bad about any other shops. Very professional.. Unlike my wife, haha. I could have talked to him for many more hours, very friendly.All this went down BEFORE he even gave me options for my case. I'm going with a Phase 2. He didn't push more, he didn't try to sell me more than I need. He basically said, "You don't need more than this, it's a waste of money for your setup." Very hard t find that kind of service. Oh, I'm adding a shower on as well. Turn around time....5-7 days with worse possible situation, 3-5 best scenario! Awesome!! Sorry about the book. Just very impressed with him.

I checked around and after talking to George at AADS he has the best price and a warranty to boot. I just turned my upper gears to dust so I'll be sending my drive to him as well. He also recommended the phase III for me as I'm pushing 700hp.

I purchased my outdrive shower from them -- George was phenomenal - I'm not the sharpest pencil in the cup mechanically and he walked me thru the installation as if it was heart surgery -- He has the patience of Job.
If he does the little stuff correct I would have a high degree of confidence on the larger items. 3pointstar |
