this might be a stupid question, but i have 2 454 with trs drives whare does the rotation change in the transmision or the out drive.

so another words, your saying the right hand spin cw, left hand spin ccw. by lookin in the drive they look the same. what makes the left hand spin ccw?

Your direction of rotation is done in the lower, Each lower can be built to what ever you want, The lower housings are the same,

The direction the drive gear is facing on the prop shaft. Left hand the gear is in front of the pinion gear with the teeth facing to the rear of the drive. On a right hand drive the gear is to the rear of the pinion gear with the teeth facing towards the front of the drive.
