#3's to ????
 

I got #3's on the cafe. Lower gears are out on both. So my current thoughts are:

Replace with rebuilt #3s and try to find gear sets for my old ones and to have an extra set on the side. Probably $13,000 to 17,000.

Or: replace with konrads. Probably $20,000 plus props.

Or: Place wet sump #6's on the Cafe. Probably $25,000 to $35,000+ depending on my luck in finding used and transmission cost/modification.

I currently have 600 - 650 hp naturally aspirated. I hope to blower the boat at some point in the future.

What's your guys thoughts?
#6's to much for an old cafe?
Any other options I should be considering?
Any leads on drives or gears?

Well, if i was spending your money :) i would go Konrads 1st,
Or BMax's second. JohnP took over the Bravo Shop & plans on getting the drives back out there. He has them on his 46 BT w/ trip 850's. Course would need to do transom work for the BMAx's. Good luck.

Do any Cafe's have 6's?

Or you could put Arneson's on it. Boat would run better than the options you have listed and gain speed.

I wouldnt even think about it!! Sell are trade whats good and install the 6s and be done with it.If you want to ride more than Idle.

and that option would run $?????

I wonder how that hull would like Arneson's?

I have a fresh pair of 1.58 26 spline # 3 also fresh 1.5 same shaft size
