Skeg Repair in DFW/Rockwall area

Put the boat on the lift yesterday and noticed a perfect semi-circle shape missing from the front of the lower unti skeg. Looks like someone took a 1.5" holesaw to it - weird how almost perfect it looked - the missing piece that is. I have prided myself on not have any drive damage after 5 seasons - no chips, no scuffs, nothing and now I have this missing piece and want to get it repaired. Who would you recommend in the DFW area - actually the closer to Rockwall the better. I called James Propeller in Farmers Branch and they didn't answer and to date have not returned my call. Thanks |
Any good welder should be able to handle that. Fab a patch and tack it in a bit at a time to avoid heating case. Fill with epoxy, sand it down, paint.
